  1. 01Independent third-party tool

    CarMargin is an independent service provided by the operators of carmargin.co.uk. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Copart UK Ltd, Copart Inc., DVSA, DVLA, or any other entity referenced on this site. References to Copart UK, MOT history, and DVLA data describe what the tool reads. They do not imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.

  2. 02AI estimates are not financial or professional advice

    All analyses, valuations, repair estimates, max-bid recommendations, and verdicts (BUY / MAYBE / SKIP) provided by CarMargin are AI-generated estimates based on incomplete information. They are not legal, financial, mechanical, or insurance advice. They are not a substitute for in-person inspection, professional appraisal, or your own due diligence. You bid at your own risk and on your own judgement. CarMargin is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

  3. 03No warranty of accuracy

    AI vision analysis can miss damage. AI valuations can be wrong. The MOT and DVLA records reflect what the underlying public sources show at the time of query and may be incomplete or out of date. Always verify critical information through Copart, DVSA, DVLA, or a qualified inspector before bidding.

  4. 04Acceptable use

    • Use CarMargin only with your own authenticated Copart UK session, or your employer's session where you are an authorised user.
    • Do not use CarMargin to circumvent Copart's terms of service or any other party's rights.
    • Respect Anthropic's usage policies for outputs derived from CarMargin's AI calls.
    • Do not redistribute analyses you receive. They are provided to you, not for resale.

  5. 05Account and access

    You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to harm the system, or violate these terms.

  6. 06Pricing and changes

    CarMargin is currently free during early access. Paid tiers will be announced before they launch. Existing users will receive notice and a transition period before any change takes effect.

  7. 07Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarMargin's operators are not liable for damages arising from your use of the service, including:

    • direct losses on bids placed
    • indirect or consequential losses (resale shortfalls, opportunity cost)
    • repair costs in excess of estimates
    • transport, storage, or auction-side fees

    Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

  8. 08Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
